The diet of Silvery Marmosets mostly consists of exudates. They have special teeth to chew holes in the bark to access the exudates. Silvery Marmosets live in great troupes with 2 – 3 adult males and 1 – 2 females.

Only the dominant female is mating. In the other females ovulation is hormonally suppressed. The father as well as other group members take part with the raising of the offspring.

Silvery Marmosets are quite adaptable and they can also survive in secondary forests.
